4-Year-Old Program
Children must be 4 years old by December 31st.
Classes are 2.5 hours long, 2 days a week.
The 4-year-old program is a great way to prepare your child for kindergarten. Children are encouraged to express their thoughts and feelings while all avenues of learning are explored. This program will focus on listening skills, social abilities as well as letters, numbers, colors and shapes recognition. Kids will learn through free play, crafts, story time and structured activities.

I am looking forward to be a part if this year's teaching staff by leading the 4 year old program. I have been a resident of Strathmore all my life and have chosen to raise my family here. I have been happily married for 26 years with 3 amazing adult children. Working with preschool children is all I have ever wanted to do, and I hope it shows.

My name is Melissa Scales and I am so excited for my first year at Strathmore and District playschool. I grew up in Calgary and moved to Strathmore 7 years ago when I was pregnant with my last baby. I have 4 wonderful kids who are all in full time school now and I look forward to hanging out with yours while mine are away. I have been working / volunteering with children my entire adult life. From volunteering with Girl Guides to working one-on-one with littles in their home. I love crafting and singing, and I can't wait to meet all the kids and their families.
